Description

The mission is to build a new CRM suite for Customer Systems capable of fulfilling all existing functional requirements while simultaneously delivering linear scale, zero-downtime, accelerated development cycles, and high-availability across multiple data centers.

Contribution

In this project have played the role of a developer taking care of the Repair FT, CDM CS, Case 2.0.

Has been involved in developing interfaces to induct new tables from Mongo DB to Teradata and Hadoop.

Some of the tasks performed include setting up the entire interface flow from source to Teradata target tables, developing TD utilities (tptstream,tptload), Unix scripting and impact analysis for the interfaces involved and carrying out production deployment activities, performing root cause analysis & fixing real time failures encountered in production from offshore on a bi weekly basis.

Involved in repointing source to Mongo DB as tables in Oracle Db are getting decommissioned. Also worked on the impact analysis for this change like missing attributes and connect me page updates for the different applications.

As an active team member, had taken up the initiative to understand GBI’s generic framework used to induct the new tables and has contributed to the team’s overall knowledge and expertise over the framework.

The Non –iTunes core team is responsible for taking care of extracting transforming and loading data into Teradata tables belonging to the non – iTunes subject area, the data is extracted from different sources such as Oracle, SAP, Teradata and flat files and Informatica serves as the extraction tool. Once the data is available in the staging zone the required transformations are carried out using Teradata stored procedures and loaded into the core database using a common generic framework designed to induct and enhance tables. Just as how data is brought into the EDW there are also jobs designed to take the data out of Teradata to other platforms primarily Oracle here again Informatica is used for extraction purpose.

Currently “Veritas check” verifies the warranty against the Manual entry of the components by technician while eVeritas will capture the component details electronically using AST2. GBI will capture this data and will produce the report, which will be used by Compliance Team to prevent fraudulent activities.
