JOB DESCRIPTION

2016-2017 1 year of duty as a medical clerk rotated between two hospitals. We were required to rotate through Internal medicine, surgery, OB-GYN, Psych, Emergency room, Anesthesia, Pediatrics, Orthopedics.

2017-2018 1 year of duty as a post graduate medical intern rotated between two hospitals (Western Visayas medical center). We were required to rotate through Internal medicine, surgery, OB-GYN, Psych, Emergency room, Anesthesia, Pediatrics, Orthopedics.

NOTE: As a medical clerk, we were required to see and handle patients with the guidance of our residents, we were also assisting in surgeries and other procedures.

As a post graduate medical intern, we were required to personally handle and manage patients with common diseases with minimal guidance from residents. We also assist in surgeries and tasked to perform minimal surgeries in the Emergency room. In the OB-GYN department, we were tasked to deliver pregnancies by ourself if without complication and assist in other procedures.
