Ensure ISO 14001 EMS properly implemented on site (Plan, Do, Check, Act) Create and review Environmental Aspect / Impact register for different activities Lead NMDC Environmental team for all Environmental issues during construction of Baraka Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) site

Review team progress and keep Project Manager informed with the outcome. Directly involved in Tender, Quotations and hiring of new Sub-Contractors. Provide all support and guidance to HSE team on site. Ensure Environment Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD) guidelines for Environmental Standards are properly implemented at BNPP site.

Ensure proper and effective communication on regular basis is maintained with main Client i.e. Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (EAD) and principle contractor Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).

Assist EAD representative during Audit on site and prepare comprehensive report for findings observed.

Maintain effective communication with all other sub-contractors operating at BNPP site. Represent NMDC for Environmental queries raised in weekly meetings by ENEC and KEPCO Environmental Directors and Managers on site. Ensure requirements set within Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Construction Management Plan (CEMP) is properly implemented on BNPP site. Prepare Environmental Risk Assessment in accordance with Construction Method Statement at BNPP site.

Ensure proper Waste Management as per Centre of Waste Management (CWM) Abu Dhabi is implemented at BNPP site i.e. proper segregation, proper colour coded skips and proper transportation of Hazardous and Non Hazardous Waste. Carry out technical monitoring for Environmental Pollution at BNPP site and report KEPCO regularly

Review all reports, plans and technical data for BNPP site and provide comments regularly. Conduct frequent Environmental inspection on site and prepare regular reports Prepare all Environmental reports requested by Client, ENEC Provide Environmental induction to personal on project site in Urdu and English Languages. 4

Prepare Waste Management Plan for School and ensure its implementation on site. Carry out Fire Drills every term ensuring Fire Alarms are in working condition. Check Chemical storage, its usage and disposal fulfil HSE guidelines. Check Electrical Cables are properly insulated and all portable equipment’s are tested by competent person.

Discuss risk associated with work carried out on premises, with contractors and implement control measures.

Arrange meetings; give presentations to department heads informing them on health and safety legislations and to improve safety culture. Carry out internal Audits.

Inform Head teacher with serious HSE issues on premises and suggest new resources to eliminate them.
