As a soon-to-be graduate obtaining an English major and a Creative Writing minor from Texas Christian University, I have gained three years of professional experience through internships and writing publications. My portfolio serves a versatile range of content for print magazines and digitally based platforms. As an intern writing for literary and lifestyle media platforms, I held similar expectations; I pitched and wrote content to be published. I interviewed authors and influencers for feature cover stories. I communicated with public relations firms to organize cover stars, features, and spreads for magazines. I also wrote coverage on live streaming events while meeting a short turnaround time. Aside from having internship experience, I gained experience in writing professionally through the courses I took at university. Having taken courses in Editing and Publishing and Magazine Writing, I have learned what it takes to write intriguing and polished features, profiles, and commentaries that keep readers invested while following household styles. My knowledge of writing and professional experiences would allow me to contribute quality work to The New York Post.
