SENIOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST – Drilco Division

Provided leadership and direction in the end-to-end procurement process aligned with corporate strategies to ensure products were received within expected timeframes and met quality specifications.

Sourced and procured materials used in the fabrication of drill parts, including drill collars, Hevi-Wate™ transitional drillpipe, mill run steel, elastomers, plastics, fittings, materials for hydraulic equipment, MRO items, and chemicals for shop use. Primarily dealt with U.S. suppliers but also China, Italy, and Russia.

Monitored the supply, demand, Sales demands, and usage status of the steel mill run parts to establish the appropriate material forecast for production, monitoring life cycle of inventory for each product.

Met weekly with production teams to determine forecasts and the current status of products and with engineering/R&D to stay apprised of any changes in product specifications to avoid obsolete inventory.

Regularly evaluated vendors on approved supplier list (ASL) based on key point indexes (cost analysis, quality, and delivery). Sourced replacement/additional suppliers as needed to meet demands.
