Data Entry is not only about the skill, speed and accuracy. Because of the hectic work involved, it requires a lot of passion and hard work, two qualities that have increased my efficiency as a data entry specialist in the field. Having worked in data entry as a consultant since 2010, I have gained experience in the use of various software such as Excel, STATA, Epi Info and Pastel for data entry. Over the years, I have increased capacity in handling larger volumes of data, moving from entry of accounting records on a daily basis, to entry of bulk survey documents in short spaces of time for organizations such as UNFPA, UNICEF, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and the World Bank. I have also developed stamina that allows me to enter bulk volumes of data facing tight deadlines. As an excellent team player, I have worked very well with various teams in the NGO sector. Due to my natural speed (8000-10000 KPH) and accuracy at entering data, I have had an opportunity to also train and assist some of my teammates in order for us to meet a deadline. Data entry is a passion and requires a lot of hard-work and creativity, qualities that I have confidently gained over the years. For any amount of data, I can design creative ways to tackle the project and produce results within the deadline and with 98% accuracy. I understand the need for efficiency and accuracy in data entry and this has made me gain a good name amongst the organizations I have worked with in various forms of data entry i.e. transcription, PDF conversion and hard-copy paper survey entry.
