Hello, my name is Andy Nguyen, and I’m applying for an Associate Dentist position. This coming May, I’ll be graduating from Midwestern University in Arizona and intend to come back to Texas, my home state for 30 years. Prior to dental school, I practiced as a registered dental hygienist in private practices around the Greater Houston area for 8 years. Striving for more clinical responsibilities, I decided to pursue my DMD with a focus on a digital workflow, implant, and prosthodontic dentistry and am now seeking an associate dentist position where I can apply those skills and continue to develop my expertise in a supportive setting. Furthermore, I enjoy learning and would love to find a position where mentorship is available with a possible chance of future partnership or practice acquisition. While in dental school at Midwestern University in Arizona, I enjoyed all aspects of dentistry including pediatrics, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, crown and bridge, operative dentistry, and implants. I personally focused on clinical cases with CBCT restorative-driven implant planning, surgical placement of implants and digital CAD/CAM prosthodontics. As of Winter Quarter 2020 with another five months of clinic to go, I have placed implants and restored three All-on-4 arches, eleven single-unit implants and crowns, and four implant bridges. I plan to finish out the academic year with more implants and advanced comprehensive dentistry to come. In addition to traditional removable partial and complete prosthodontics, I love working with E4D digital CAD/CAM crown and bridge and delivered several 3d printed complete dentures. I enjoy working with kids and adults of all ages and feel comfortable with building a good rapport with the community. I am very interested in helping patients recover their ability to eat and smile, and ultimately improving their physical, mental, and emotional health and happiness. In closing, I would like to emphasize my interest in the Associate Dentist position with your clinic. From my previous career in dental hygiene, rewarding experience at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine, and interest in constant continuing education, I believe that I would be a strong candidate for the position.
