Utilized the concepts of continuous improvement and cost reduction in the execution of the job function, including assisting the CI team with Kaizens including the reorganization of the gage area (eliminating over 500 redundant or expired gages and setting up an enclosed area needing swipe cards to enter and to remove any gages – also marking the location of each current gage and entering said location in a PLEX database for easy identification and detection) and identifying corrective actions that were not implemented system-wide to help reduce and eliminate scrap, saving over $250,000.
