During this project I led my team on the deployment of Microsoft 365 workloads, providing Hybrid Identity model, and Hybrid Exchange environment. During this project I performed an AD and Exchange migration due to an M&A operation.

The project required a migration from a legacy email security system to a new Proofpoint email security system. The legacy email messaging system was BAE and the Exchange team managed the legacy security system. The previous email security system wasn’t secure enough allowing malware, phishing, and other malicious email exposed to the end users. Ratner needed help putting a more secure, reliable application in place to protect their end users and information from hackers. My major contributions were in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, and Proofpoint and Symantec.

Accomplishments:

Worked directly with the Exchange team to create test email groups for all Ratner domains.

Provided support and troubleshooting during the migration process for email routing to make sure emails were flowing from Office 365 or Exchange properly.

Configured the mail flow from external to internal and internal to external. Created rules and dispositions for troubled emails.

Whitelisting and Blacklisting companywide domains and hostnames etc.

Responsible for messaging system security on Office 365 with Proofpoint.

Tested internal and external mail flow to make sure the mail traffic was flowing outbound through Proofpoint.

SPF record: cleanup, verification, and creation of RFC for SPF implementation.

Determine Ratner mail routings.

Domain List: Verified completeness for inbound email.

Created an internal address or group to send out email to Proofpoint.
