DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing all types of adult and paediatric surgeries in Cardiac cases,

Heart transplant, Lung transplant, Heart and Bilateral lung transplant, all general cases and Liver transplant, Kidney transplant, Gynaecology cases. Plastic cases Diagnostic and Interventional Procedures,

Responsible for setup and preparation of surgical procedure.

Provide support and communicates directly with surgical team and supervisory staff.

Assist in any treatment and diagnostic procedure.

Maintains clean and safe environment for patients.

Perform all necessary dispensary related duties.

Take care in complete cleanliness of the theatre and control of infection.

Strict aseptic techniques in hand washing, handling the instruments and in sterile areas.

Provide Psychological, support to the patient; explain the procedures to the patient without scared.

Give assistance to the attending anaesthesiologist in performing pre anaesthetic procedures as well as during surgery.

Confirm the working condition of all equipment like suction apparatus, diathermy equipments, lights and tables, Bayle’s apparatus, gas cylinder’s etc.

Keep ready all emergency drugs ready at hand.

Check the operation list and prepare the tables according to the surgeon’s preference card.

Position the patient in accordance with the operation.

Anticipate the equipment of surgeon, anaesthetist and other team members.

Wash the instruments and prepare for sterilization.

Administration:

Must Be Aware of Our Institution Mission, Vision, and Various Policies and Organ gram Of the Nursing Directorate.

Participates In The Planning, Maintenance, And Inventory Of Equipments And Supplies In The Unit.

Assume The Responsibilities Of The ANS In Her Absences.
