G.KENTON
I am a longtime art director/editorial spe-
cialist/graphic designer and have been
telecommuting since 2002, during that
time I have worked with many diverse
systems. First and foremost I am a problem
solver, and communicator. Expert in Creative
Suite, I create my documents using InDesign,
Photoshop and Illustrator. I consider myself
an outstanding typographer, color theorist and
expert art buyer.
My work has always and continues to be
cutting edge, I continue to be strong, creative
and vital. I feel I could be a valuable resource and would relish the opportunity to work within a group dynamic once again. My extensive background has given me an awareness of the bigger picture and the ability to target any demographic and direct the graphics in that direction. Conceptual thinking is one of my finest and sharpest skills and continues beyond graphics into any area. I have lived and worked in Chicago, New York, London and Los Angeles, as an Art Director for clients that include: Playboy, Penthouse, Intellectual Digest, PSA In-flight Magazine, Collector’s Photography, Consumer’s Digest, Palm Springs Life, Morongo Casino, Spotlight 29 Casino, SierraStyle, San Diego Business Woman and the Curtis Freedom Group in Malibu. I have also created projects for The Playboy Jazz Festival, The American Music Awards and Grammy Programs. My background in art direction and design is rich and varied. I have designed several award winning formats and participated in several start-ups. I have also worked in promotion, point-of-sale and advertising. Over the years I have estab- lished contacts with some of the best illustration and photographic talent available nationally and have perfected the art of making assignments in a manner that nearly always renders an excellent result. Although I am a very hands-on designer I also have had experience in heading up internal art departments. George Kenton

“ A must do! George is the most delightful person, always cheerful, open, and ready to engage in creativity. “ George Kenton has an effortless, unruffled manner as he goes about his design work. He has deep skills, understands lightness and darkness, bal- ance and tension, and like the old school graphics guy that he is, he loves typography. So herewith is my endorsement for a fine designer, a fun guy to work with, and someone who breaks down visual problems with grace and style. Sam Maddox, ” Editor, The Hub
“ George is known for his graphic design experience and has maintained a diverse portfolio of work which demonstrates a high level of understanding of photography, architecture and art and design. “ George Kenton is the best designer (par excellence) and the most mel- low, efficient cool cat in the Palm Springs area. I highly recommend his ser- vices, though I would rather keep him a secret ! The great quality and innova- tive artistic graphic design he whips out with ease makes him a sophisticated Christina choice for De the Musee, truly Painter discerning client! ”
“ One of the most creative people I know, George has always been a plea- sure to work with. He designed the logos and business cards for both of my businesses, that still draw compliments from clients. He’s the first one I call Jon with Inge, any Photograher design challenges. ” WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY
