(SAN/NAS), Network and other infrastructure related activities. 1) Programme managing patch management across BOI infrastructure estate. This includes patching Wintel, Unix (AIX, Solaris, Linux) servers, Middleware, Endpoint, Storage, mainframes, iSeries, Network…etc.

2) Server build and migration - Procuring and build physical/Virtual servers/appliances for Wintel, Unix, Linux O/S. SAN allocation and configuration and Data migration from one server SAN to another.

3) Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) project - End to end planning and implementation of VDI project to provide remote access to third party vendor to customers application. The project involved building VMWare server, loading applications, creating master VDI and multiple VDI clones.

The project falls under Disney’s IT Corporate Business unit, it includes Server Build and Migrations, Storage management (SAN/NAS), Allocation/De-allocation, O/S and database upgrade and other infrastructure related activities.

1) Involved in successful planning and implementation of pilot project to replace existing SAN storage for 1000+ Disney servers. The successful pilot resulted in IBM securing contract from Disney to replace existing SAN with Flexible storage from EMC’s VMAX and IBM’s XIV SAN.

2) Planned and executed migration of 100+ server (UNIX/Intel) data to various types of SAN/NAS storage types. Storage types includes Legacy SAN (IBM and non IBM), Flexible storage (EMC’s VMAX and IBM’s XIV)…etc. The process includes data collection, Host preparation, data migration and finally cutover to new storage. 3) Driving the server remediation for 150 UNIX, Intel (Windows/Linux) and VMware servers. Remediation involves, replacing HBA’s, Upgrading O/S, Installing/upgrading Multi Pathing software, Installing/Upgrading Veritas Volume manager, Installing/upgrading HBA Firmware/Driver…etc.
