The project falls under Disney’s IT Corporate Business unit, it includes Server Build and Migrations, Storage management (SAN/NAS), Allocation/De-allocation, O/S and database upgrade and other infrastructure related activities.
1) Involved in successful planning and implementation of pilot project to replace existing SAN storage for 1000+ Disney servers. The successful pilot resulted in IBM securing contract from Disney to replace existing SAN with Flexible storage from EMC’s VMAX and IBM’s XIV SAN.
2) Planned and executed migration of 100+ server (UNIX/Intel) data to various types of SAN/NAS storage types. Storage types includes Legacy SAN (IBM and non IBM), Flexible storage (EMC’s VMAX and IBM’s XIV)…etc. The process includes data collection, Host preparation, data migration and finally cutover to new storage. 3) Driving the server remediation for 150 UNIX, Intel (Windows/Linux) and VMware servers.
