RELEVANT PROJECTS
Senior Design Project –UUV with Undulating Propulsion September 2020-May 2021
Designed a 4-fin concept in Solidworks to be one of the proposed options. The system must use only undulating motion for propulsion, be able to pitch 90 degrees, have high stability and station keeping performance.
Performed research, analysis of the electronic components to ensure that they meet system requirements.
Performed power budget analysis to ensure the system meets operation requirements.
Designed physical architecture, test plan and Gantt chart to organize work process.
Performed risk analysis and risk mitigation plan.
Designed motherboard, power circuit and corresponding PCB using P-CAD software
Red Tide Autonomous Filtering System December 2018-March 2020
Designed an autonomous surface filtering system targeting K.Brevis algae cells. The system included mechanical, electronic and software designs.
The project was financed by the undergraduate research office OURI and took the first place at the Undergraduate Symposium at FAU in March 2019.
Skills applied: mechanical design using Solidworks software, calculations using MATLAB, background research in chemistry and marine biology, designing electric diagram, programming Arduino Uno and Arduino Due, fabrication, leadership, team building, and project management.
Autonomous Surface Vehicle August 2019-December 2020
Designed and built an autonomous surface system that is able to move along the perimeter of a pool and drop a tennis ball. The project was a part of the in-class activity.
Water-proof Camera Housing for RobotX Competition September 2018-November 2018
Designed housing for a StereoLabs 3D camera in Solidworks. The requirements included: remain waterproof 6 feet underwater, maintain maximum visibility.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Research Internship May 2020-August 2020
Address:
Florida Atlantic University-SeaTech
101 N Beach Rd, Dania Beach, FL 33004
Performed a remote research on hurricane effects on Florida vegetation.
Designed a mathematical model of tree uprooting due to catastrophic winds with consideration of soil, wood and root plate properties as well as wind profile.
The model was visualized with the use of MATLAB tools. A technical report is planned to be published by January 2021.
Skills applied: literature review, calculations and modeling using MATLAB, flow and structural analysis.
Research Assistant January 2019-August 2019
Address:
Florida Atlantic University- FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute
