Functional summary

As a Purchasing Agent for LSU at Alexandria, I developed specifications, prepared and awarded bids issued purchase orders verified deliveries and resolves any issues with vendor payment. It was my responsibility to provide accurate and timely processing for payment of all invoices, including receiving and processing invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports. I matched purchase orders with receiving documents and invoices, checking the invoice prices against the purchase orders for agreement on the amount ordered, received and invoiced.

I was responsible for the weekly payroll of an interstate trucking company which operated fifty (50) company-owned units and twenty-five (25) owner/operator units. Additionally I was responsible all Human Resource issues, Network modifications and upgrades and P&L statements.

As Administrative Assistant I was the Chief Timekeeper and Human Resource Liaison for an agency with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.

I am familiar with Payroll, Purchasing, Contract Management and Inventory Control software. I have completed a one hundred plus (100+) hour DHH Office Software Certification. The course of study covered all of the Microsoft Office components, such as Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Power Point. It also covered Novell GroupWise and various aspects of the Windows operating system and networking capabilities.
