WORK HISTORY
Senior Merchandiser, Arvind Worldwide Inc, New York, USA 2011 – 2020
• Daily communication with the India office and retail brands driving positive solutions for business growth. I helped the company reached an 8% growth in revenues in sustainable products.
• I was the key liaison for the United States marketing operation and worked effectively with cross-functional partners. I generated an annual material volume of more than 4.5 million yards for top US brands and continued to grow annually by an average of 12%.
• Co-created and developed the new innovative fabric collections based on brands’ specific requests and lifestyles, with an average of a 20% adoption.
• Supported digital development program with Gap Inc.. Developing seasonal pattern work using CAD for approval on a direct to bulk model. Removing the needs for handlooms and sample yardages, resulted in reduced development cost and improved development leadtimes.
• Developed brand-specific CAD collections & stories based on the color trends and design briefs from brands, presenting four times annually in line with required calendar dates.
• Developed innovative fashion trends using the latest technologies and sustainable materials, for example, collaborate with J Crew for organic cotton and BCI cotton programs.
• Managed 11 key accounts - Gap, Banana Republic, PVH Heritage brands, Macy’s, Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren, Kohl’s, JCPenney, J Crew, Madewell, Bonobos.
• Built, organized, and maintained fabric resource library monthly for accurate development key performance indicators.
• Controlled the budget for the ordering and purchasing of color standards to ensure on time execution of sampling.
• Attended fashion and apparel trade shows to maintain and develop my professional next work.
