Design and analysis of cylinder liner failure of BG locomotive

-Golden Rock Railway Workshop, Trichy.

The failure of cylinder liner affect the stoppage of the locomotive engine. The problem of cylinder liner cracked at air intake port caused by foreign body in combustion space. For avoiding the result of foreign body, it is introduce another one air filter is called cyclone separator is used to clean the micron size dust particles.
