JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist Project Manager in project implementation by controlling all involved in Mechanical works and others associated discipline.

Assist in the review of contractor’s drawings, method statements and test procedures to ensure compliance to requirements and project specifications.

Coordinate and monitor mechanical activities of the project, including evaluation of construction methodology being implemented for the works.

Assign daily task/activity for sub-ordinate engineers & piping foreman while closely monitoring their productivity and quality of work.

Responsible for all matters in relation to coordination and control of construction and/or other related works.

Attend construction coordination meeting between client and contractors, monitor and evaluate project status and provide recommendation to meet or maintain project schedule.

Coordinate and interface with other discipline or work stream to ensure appropriate planning and scheduling of works and resources.

Prepare construction report progress on a weekly and monthly basis as per company requirements.

Monitors construction manpower, equipment and materials provided to ensure good and services are satisfactory and in accordance with the construction requirements.

Monitor and review actual project progress and accomplishments. If delays are observed, recommend catch-up scheme to ensure project schedules are met.

Perform inspections and documentation of all mechanical work in progress on a continuing basis, and completes the final P&ID checks prior to turnover.

Work with procurement's expediting team to ensure the delivery of vendor equipment and materials to support the project requirement.

Interpret mechanical drawings e.g. isometric drawing, mechanical plan drawing etc. to create proper site execution and engineering strategy.

Attend queries of sub-ordinate engineers regarding site issues and come up with proper recommendation and instruction that will be implemented.

Site monitoring of piping installation, fit-up, welding works, pipe laying, and other related activities

Monitor and ensures compliance of all contractors’ personnel to safety policies and procedures, environmental guidelines and security regulations.
