Description: The FDNY Facilities Unit is a branch of the New York City Fire Department that is responsible for the construction and maintenance of Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service facilities.
Developed the agency’s first in-house architectural 3D model and rendering of a firehouse in AutoCAD Revit.
Traveled to a variety of operational firehouses and assisted with the evaluation of existing conditions and equipment.
Accompanied project managers on various construction walkthroughs, including apparatus doors, interior renovations, mechanical and electrical systems throughout the firehouses.
Assisted in conducting in house electrical estimates using the NECA Manual of Labor Units (Means) for interior renovations.
Became familiar with International Mechanical Code and the New York City Fire Code.

Designed protective guard rail system for new digital print building from oncoming worker vehicles.
Assisted in solving waste management issue brought upon by the town of Sumter, which required Santee to restrict itself to tighter environmental regulations.

Precision Instrument Design: Simulated a redesign of a vinyl record manufacturing machine by updating previously implemented techniques with modern day technology through mathematical techniques using MATLAB. Solids Lab: Performed a feasibility study on, and subsequently designed, an inflatable car seat for children. Senior Design: Worked with a small team and General Electric to optimize the efficiency of the testing and installation process of various electronics within their industrial router, the MDS Orbit. Third Place, UR NextGen Challenge Competition
Assigned to random team, given one day to solve issue plaguing the New York State hemp industry, focusing on technical challenge in growing and harvesting hemp as a rotational crop. The NY Hemp Lab provided subject matter experts to assist teams in one-day brainstorming challenge to determine simplest/most cost-effective solution. Successfully worked with team to receive the third-place award.
