Looking for full time physician assistant position. Currently working full time in Plastics and Hand Surgery practice with a very busy surgeon. Responsibilities include office based patient schedule 3 days per week, operating room first assist 2 days a week and call coverage several days a month.Prior to this I spent 14 years working in Emergency Department and provided care for a wide age range of patients for both acute medical and trauma complaints.Large amount of autonomy in both settings and high volume practices. Function well under pressure, will take leadership role when it is needed, and I am very empathetic towards patient’s individual life situation. UM/UCMC Plastics and Hand Surgery, Physician Assistant. 2012 - present Largely self directed and motivated to see large volume of patients and function to maintain surgical volume for the surgeon with whom I work. Responsibility in managing several workers to coordinate patient care and follow up Physician Assistant, Maryland Emergency Medicine Network, Llc. 2004 - 2018 Urgent care and Main Emergency room provider, roughly 55,000 patient per year. Responsible for minor trauma and acute medical complaints. Initial trauma resuscitation and surgical first assist, as well as general surgery first assist. ACLS, ATLS skills trained. Procedures included but not limited to thoracostomy, central lines, wound repair and dressings, arterial line placement, splinting, surgical first assist. Order appropriate imaging studies and labs.
