Mohd Nurman has total of 13 years’ experience in the LNG industry with wealth of knowledge and expertise in Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) and LNG Shipping with expertise in business development, negotiation, project management and chartering. Vast experiences working in major LNG organisations in different global LNG centres such as Kuala Lumpur, London, Singapore and Tokyo covered the Asia Pacific, Middle East and European regions. Actively pursuing regional LNG infrastructure projects in Asia Pacific, long-term LNG shipping procurement and LNG spot chartering. Led the implementation of Hong Kong Offshore LNG Terminal Project (FSRU) through engaging with internal and external stakeholders as the Commercial Lead. Headed the FSRU business development activities in the Asia Pacific region.

• Commercial Lead for the Hong Kong Offshore LNG Terminal Project where MOL was awarded by CLP and Hong Kong Electric as the FSRU provider.

• Initiated the marketing of MOL’s FSRU solutions to CLP and Hong Kong Electric, preparation of bid proposal, contracts drafting and negotiation, commercial terms negotiation, and project implementation.

Achievements:

• Originated the Hong Kong FSRU project for MOL and led the marketing activities to CLP and Hong Kong Electric.

• Expanded MOL’s coverage and network in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East for the FSRU business and originated several opportunities such as Muara Karang (Indonesia) and Taipower

(Taiwan).

Primary duties were in LNG Shipping and FSRU/FSU Business Development in the Asia Pacific region.

1. LNG Chartering

• Participated in long-term charter tender by BP Tangguh for domestic trading. Developed proposal on utilizing existing MOL’s vessel, joint venture scheme and planning to comply with Indonesia cabotage law.

• Established close relationships with key LNG shipping players in Asia Pacific such as Tangguh LNG, Brunei LNG, Petroleum Brunei, PETRONAS, Pertamina, PGN LNG and PLN. 2. FSRU/FSU

• Business Developer for FSRU/FSU projects in the Asia Pacific region. The FSRU/FSU projects were PLN Jawa-1 IPP and Cilacap FSRU (Pertamina) in Indonesia, Dawei LNG Terminal Project (LNG Plus-Shell) in Myanmar, Batangas FSRU (First Gen) in the Philippines, Pakistan LNG Terminal Limited FSRU project (2nd FSRU) in Pakistan, Reliance Power FSRU project and H-Energy FSRU project in West Bengal in Bangladesh. • Established a good relationship with Pertamina to jointly own FSRU for the proposed Cilacap Refinery Revamping project.

Areas of Experience:

The main responsibilities were developing new businesses and cultivate existing relationship with clients in Asia Pacific and Middle East in LNG shipping business focusing on LNG Chartering (spot/ mid/long-term), Secondhand Sale & Purchase (S&P), Newbuilding Orders, and LNG Shipping Consultancy. Managing a small team of LNG shipbrokers in Singapore. 1. Chartering

• Handled multiple spot charter requirements.

• Assisted PGN LNG in preparation for commissioning of its Lampung FSRU such as finding suitable candidate LNG vessels, ship-shore compatibility studies and cabotage waiver application. Ultimately secured an LNG vessel for PGN LNG to carry out commissioning operations at Lampung FSRU.

2. Shipping Adviser

• Advised PGN LNG on its plan to charter an LNG vessel for 15 years to serve the Lampung FSRU terminal.

• Advised KOGAS on its mid-term shipping requirement for the Gladstone LNG project.

• Assisted SK E&S on its 2 LNG vessels requirement for Freeport project where SSY was leading the introduction and discussion with LNG shipowners.

• Acted as an exclusive adviser to LNG Plus in sourcing LNG vessels as candidates to be converted to FSU for the Dawei LNG Import Terminal Project in Myanmar. 3. Leadership

• Led a highly motivated and passionate LNG Shipbroking team in SSY Singapore office.

• Invited to speak at the LNG Shipping Asia conference in Singapore 26-29 November 2013 on the topic ‘LNG Vessels Order Insights & Shipbuilders’ Capability for Delivering Newbuilds’; presented at the LNGgc Asia Pacific 2013 conference in Singapore 6-7 March 2013 on the topic an ‘Overview on Spot-/Short Term LNG Chartering Market’; and presented at the Singapore Exchange (SGX) & The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) LNG Shipping Workshop for Analysts in Singapore 31 August 2012 on ‘Commercial Risks in LNG Shipping’.

Achievements:

• Secured a total of 15 LNG shipping fixtures since setting-up LNG shipbroking desk in Singapore.

• Established close relationships with Asian LNG players such as KOGAS, Petronas, Tangguh LNG, PGN LNG, Pertamina, PLN, Brunei LNG and Mitsubishi.

• Well versed on Asian LNG market and hence been invited to speak at regional LNG conferences.

The main responsibilities were in short-term and mid-term LNG chartering, business development activities for the Atlantic Basin, and managing commercial operations of LNG carrier on long-term charter.

• Secured several mid-term charters for MOL with Gazprom for a 4-year charter, with Vitol for a 3-year charter and with North West Shelf (NWS) for a 2-year charter

• Managed the commercial operations of ‘GDF Suez Point Fortin’, a vessel on long-term charter to Total.

• Experienced in contract preparation and negotiation such as Heads of Agreement (HOA) and Time Charter Party (TCP) both for long-term and short-term.

• Wide network with European LNG players such as LNG traders, producers, buyers, shipbrokers, market analysts, lawyers, market reporters and ports agents.

• Experienced in several long-term LNG shipping tenders such as ExxonMobil, Repsol-Gas Natural (Stream), Shell, Equinor, Nigeria LNG, Brass LNG, TEPCO, Gazprom Global LNG, Sakhalin Energy Investment Company (SEIC) and NWS.

• Developed the ‘LNG Weekly Market Report’ and ‘Yearly LNG Market Review for 2009 and 2010’ which mainly focuses on short-term LNG shipping and cargoes markets. The report became the main source of market information to MOL LNG Group and a marketing tool to enhance relationship with customers.
