United States Marine Corps 2008 – 2012

Artillery Officer (2008 – 2012)

Served in myriad positions within the field artillery specialty.

• Commanded and managed a platoon of 58 Marines during a seven-month deployment to Japan.

• Served as coordinator between the artillery and a tank battalion during one of the largest training exercise conducted in a decade.

• During a term as logistics officer, oversaw the maintenance and management of millions of dollars in equipment and vehicles.

Civil Affairs Officer (2010 – 2012)

Attained a second specialty to become second-in-command of a ten-person team for six months of training and a seven-month deployment to Afghanistan.

• Responsible for $1.4 million worth of projects assessed, proposed, and initiated.
