1996 - 1997 Children’s Miracle Network Campaign
Raised money, participated in balloon campaign and helped organize poetry book with proceeds going to expand the pediatric intensive care unit at Washoe Medical Center.
2006 – 2011 Washoe County Foster Care License
Acted as licensed foster parents for child with special needs.
2010 – 2011 Kidsave Summer Miracles
Acted as host family for 2 children from Colombia. Children who are available for adoption stay with host families for a 4 to 5 week summer visit. While the kids are here they learn about the U.S. culture, attend summer camp, and experience life in an American family. Host families work with Kidsave staff and volunteers to find the children adoptive families.
PERSONAL
I enjoy spending time Hiking, Biking, Playing Tennis, Snorkeling, Snow Skiing, Gardening, Cooking, Reading and Traveling with my wife. I have a son in college and an adopted daughter that lives in Colombia. I also have a working knowledge of basic medical Spanish.
