o Observed a physician assistant and physician in a dermatology office setting. o Observed dermatological procedures, including surgical excisions, electrodessication and curettage, tangential and punch biopsies, suturing, steroid injections, blue light therapy, and cryotherapy.

Del Pilar Medical and Urgent Care September 30 – October 31, 2019

• 5-week clinical rotation with Dr. Arnold Del Pilar o Assisted a DO physician in a family practice and urgent care setting with in-house lab, x-ray, and ultrasound access.

o Performed full physical exams on adults and children, including diabetic foot exams when necessary and sports physicals as well as care for acute problems. o Administered vaccines to adults and children and injected intramuscular antibiotics when necessary.

o Performed pelvic exams, Pap smears, and STD swab testing. o Performed nasal and throat swab testing.

o Performed ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections to the knee and observed injections into the shoulders and lower back.

o Practiced cryotherapy on warts.

o Observed minor surgical procedures, such as excising lesions suspicious for skin cancer, removing moles, and excising cystic lesions. o Observed cosmetic procedures including Botox injections, EMSCULPT, and Cool sculpting.
