To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Gary McGraw, I began my coaching career, after playing for the University of Oregon and I have just completed my 20
th
season in this amazing profession. I wanted to express my interest in your vacant assistant coaching position with your Program/University. I believe that I would be a tremendous addition to your Football Program, University and Community. I have the passion to coach and recruit at the collegiate level and help build and develop young men in character on and off the field. I have never felt stronger about an opportunity as I do with your program in continuing my growth and success as a collegiate football coach. In my 18-year span as a college football coach I have had the opportunity to coach 42 All- Conference and 14 All-American players. On top of that I’ve been fortunate enough to also coach a 2016 5 th
round NFL Draft pick and Cliff Harris Award recipient, which goes to the (Small College Defensive Player of the Year). I am a very passionate coach and I’m a technician of the game as a position coach; my belief is that your technique and fundamentals need to be ingrained in your body mechanics and it becomes most critical in practice; so when it comes to game time your natural instincts will take over. I have had the opportunity to work with a number of great coaches in my 20 years of coaching experience whom all taught me a wealth of knowledge about football and life. I only wish to continue my growth and development to be the very best coach that I can for my players and peers, with your football program and university. With your consideration for the position within your Football program and University I believe that I will be able to continue to grow as a coach and help those around me grow as well.
I look forward to hearing from you soon, and I respectfully wish you well in your search for a new assistant football coach.
