Provides basic technical network support to the senior roles within the unit Designation:

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Installs, monitors, and troubleshoots network infrastructure performance and utilization. 2. Implements the plan, renovations, and removal for optimal operations network infrastructure. 2.1. Installs wiring and network cables throughout the college. 2.2. Certifies work performed by external contractors. 2.3. Performs actual site survey and network layout preparations. 3. Secure optimal internet connections and network systems for the operations of college and office. 4. Assists in fault detections and diagnosis of the college network. Assists in the installation of software whenever applicable.

5. Provides 2nd level network support for infrastructure and internet connectivity with the external operations office.

6. Checks internal and external inventory network infrastructure equipment (wiring, hardware, etc.). 7. Generates reports monthly regarding operations of network infrastructure for use of ITD. 8. Assists in protecting integrity and safety of network security. 9. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as specified by immediate supervisor. Technical Support Staff-2nd Level:

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provides technical solutions to IT concerns and escalated incident reports on-site. Performs corrective installation, repair, and troubleshooting and/or parts replacement for escalated incident reports (if necessary).

2. Facilitates the changes in the configuration for IT assets. 3. Performs preventive maintenance on hardware and software. 4. Analyzes incident reports and recommends proactive solutions to recurring incident reports. 5. Performs the installation and assists the preparation of computer devices for various offices and requesting parties. This includes but is not limited to the following: 5.1. Desktops, Laptops, & Printer

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develops, maintains, and designs network configuration, infrastructures, and equipment installation for the college.

2. Coordinates operation and security of servers, network infrastructure and operation, internet connections. 3. Secures the data center.

3.1. Approves and schedules access to data center in consultation with the Internal Operations head. 4. Coordinates server and network routing with the Network Staff, GAS Engineering Department and GAS Facilities Coordinator.

4.1. Assesses and approves network connection requests in consultation with the Internal Operations head. 5. Implements and monitors the installation of additional and/or renovation of network infrastructure. 6. Updates, develops and maintains database of specifications and requirements of the network infrastructure used by the college.

6.1. Maintains the Technical Library containing all network documentation and procedures 6.2. Evaluates and designs existing or proposed network to structure and access databases. 7. Conducts fault detection and diagnosis of the college network. 7.1. Checks for web traffic for attacks

7.2. Updates software whenever applicable.

8. Coordinates with technical services teams in the repair and troubleshooting of network systems. 8.1. Provides Third level Technical Support as necessary. 8.2. Perform IT project management function as required. 8.3. Perform research and evaluation of IT solutions as required. 8.4. Perform IT evaluation and certification of IT solutions as required. 9. Supervises budget and performance of the network unit services. 9.1. Screens, monitors and proposes the budget allocation and purchases for infrastructure purposes in consultation with the Internal Operations Head.

9.2. Manages and monitors workload and performance of the network staff. 10. Coordinates with external contractors regarding addition and/or renovation of network infrastructure when necessary.
