Cambium Learning Group, Inc. – Vice President, Human Resources 2019 - Current Private Equity owned leader in educational technology solutions (SaaS) for K-12 Learning and Assessment. Grew from $200M/750 employees to $900M/2,600 employees via strategic acquisition targets. Senior HR Executive recruited by the PE firm and leadership team to rebuild the HR organization.

• Rebuilt a dismantled HR organization and created and formalized a current and relevant HR structure

• Acquired two larger complimentary organizations and successfully integrated these acquisitions under the Cambium Learning Group parent company

• Prepared the company for substantial growth by integrating the HR function with multiple business units into a unified platform and created the infrastructure to support a shared services model. This was done to assure that HR supports the business with superior service while providing cost efficiency

• Implemented a Total Rewards compensation and benefit structure to assist with recruiting, rewarding and retaining top talent which includes enhancing benefit programs, coverage and choice while reducing costs 15%, and achieving an annualized savings of $2.5M. Big Tex Trailers, Inc. - Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Secretary 2014 – 2019 Private Equity backed market leader in sales, service and manufacturing of professional grade trailers. Grew from $250M/1,500 employees to $1.1B/4,000.

Led the overall HR, Legal, Risk and Compliance functions including, but not limited to, talent management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, conflict resolution, payroll, P&C, licensing, as well as served as Corporate Secretary. Defined HR strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall objectives.

• Brought in by the PE firm to launch and formalize the HR function into a strategic business partner to provide direction and operational HR focus, that set the foundation to support a 25% CAGR in sales, tripling capacity, while supporting employee growth of 20% per year (not including acquisitions)

• Obtained $5.0M in annual savings as a result of successfully integrating and transitioning 50+ acquisitions

• Successfully defeated 25 unionization attempts in both the US and Canada, including 4 votes all of which resulted in union losses
