Independently Leading up the Challenges in Surveying for the smooth mining operations, Preparation & Updating of monthly, quarterly, annual Survey plan’s as per Statutory requirements/Management requirements. Preparation of plans and section required under the regulation and any other required by the management or other authorities

1)Job Title: Mine Surveying

2)To survey, prepare & maintain statutory plans, sections of mine. Surveying and taking AutoCAD /Data Mine Mine planning software output for internal planning in day to day mine operation to assist section head (shift) in mine operation.

3) Job Context & Major Challenges:

Mine planning is a continuous process which includes the systematic and scientific mining and conservation of mineral resources with minimum impact on the surrounding environment, scientific & eco-friendly mine closer plan being controlled by the regulatory authority Indian Bureau of Mines under MCDR-1988. Mine Safety and Mine Management is being controlled by the regulatory authority DGMS under Mines Act 1952 & MMR 1961. The positions is responsible for survey and prepare the statutory plans & sections required under MCDR-1988 & MMR 1961, submit to the respective regulatory authority in due course of time or otherwise as required from time to time.

Accountability: Mine plans & sections Surveying & Levelling activity for preparation of statutory plans and sections required under MCDR-1988 and MMR-1961 and otherwise required by orders made their under. Surveying and levelling work of mine area by Total Station survey instruments quarterly/Monthly. * Downloading the survey data to AutoCAD/Data mine Mine planning software for pit updating and volume calculation.

Professional Experience and Significant Achievements

A total 30 +years of work experience in the field of mines surveying. Out of these, 11 years of experience is with public sector company BALCO and the rest is with various mines and mineral companies across India and abroad.

Presently I am Associated with UltraTech Cement Limited Unit-Balaji cement works posted at Budawada Limestone Mine, Jaggayapeta Mandal Krishna district of Andhra pradesh as Asstt Manager (survey) Previously I Worked with Rajashree Cement Works Malkhed Gulbarga Karnataka from 14.10.2014 to 30.05.2018 and Hirmi cement works Raipur from 19.01.2011 to 13.10.2014.

2. Earth stone Resources, Indonesia (http://www.earthstonegroup.com/) – and Taurian Iron and Steel Company Limited (http://www.tauriansteel.com) – From February 2009 to February 2010 (Total one year experience)

Both Earth stone Metals Group, part of the Earth stone Group (Earth stone Holdings, Ltd.) and Taurian Iron and Steel Company Limited are mining company focused on identifying, and developing non-ferrous minerals mining assets globally. I was part of company’s primary operations in Indonesia. I worked as manager survey in Kalimantan timur and Kalimantan barat for manganese and COAL project in Indonesia. The main tasks were to look after leased areas (KP areas) and exploration of newer areas for mining operation (iron coal and manganese) in Indonesia, The work includes survey and planning, software mapping of the area and overall management of survey and exploration for demarcation of the boreholes.

3.Bharat Aluminum Company Limited (BALCO), Korba, Chhattisgarh State, India

(www.balcoindia.com) From August 6, 1998 to Feb 6, 2009 –

Worked as Assistant Technical Officer (Mines Survey) posted at Kawardha Mines, Chhattisgarh. I had independently handing statutory mines surveying, land acquisition for resettlement of the tribes from the lease area and managing the planning cell.

BALCO is part of Vedanta Resources, a London listed metals and mining major with Aluminum, Copper and Zinc operations in UK, India and Australia

4. From February 1987 to August 1998: Total 11 years of experience.

I started my career with public sector units such as Manganese Ore India Limited (http://moil.nic.in), and corporate companies such as Associated Cement Companies (ACC)

Holding the Mines Surveyor’s Competency Certificate Examination under Metalliferous Mines Regulation (MMR) 1961 (restricted to open cast working only) in the year 1995 from Director General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India.
