Projects
Cosmic Ray Muon Lifetime: Experiment that measured the decay and lifetime of a muon. Analyzed signals sent to photomultipliers and scintillators. Detected muons through logic units. 3 scintillator system, Photomultipliers, LeCroy Fan In/ Fan Out, LeCroy high voltage supply, Logic units. Pulsed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance: Experiment used Pulsed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance to determine spin-lattice and spin-spin relaxation times for water and gylcerin. Spectrometer, Pulse- blaster program, Radio frequency generator.
Alpha decay of Americium-241 and Polonium-210: Experiment analyzed alpha particles as a result of radioactive decay. Equipment used: Ortec 576A Dual Alpha Spectrometer, Vacuum pump, Oscilloscope.
