Application Packaging Engineer III

Packaging Applications (internally developed and external) using command line, modifying the install with transforms, repackaging with AdminStudio or App-V (version 5) and deploying with SCCM.

All installations are handled by AD Group membership.

Manage SCCM 2012.

Worked on the XP to Windows 7 deployment using SCCM 2012 Zero Touch. After the Windows 7 project, our contract was extended to maintain Steady State.

SCCM Administrator - setup packages in SCCM then deploy them and monitor the deployments.

Deploy Windows updates with SCCM to workstations (Windows7 and the few remaining XP with custom updates) and Citrix servers.

Application/User Support: Fix SCCM client and application installation issues.

Package applications leveraging SCCM and App-V either by command line, App-V Sequencer, AdminStudio to repackage, and/or ORCA to create and modify transforms.

oApp-V was used to host and publish virtual applications and generate usage reports.

Application Support: Work on application functionality.

Maintain Trusted Sites in Active Directory.

Setup exclusions for computers to not power off at night and take care of issues on computers that don’t wake up when told to from the website using Night Watchman.

Work closely with the Image Engineering work stream to document SCCM 2012 configurations/processes to be used for support transition to 3rd party management.

Develop technical skillset and knowledge to serve as a technical liaison between the Engineering teams and the Floor Support team for Windows 7 project.

Provide technical guidance to the Floor Support team by serving as a senior member of the team to ensure quality deployment migrations.
