BWA is an Argentine company dedicated to the manufacture of spare parts and components for sugarcane harvesting machines, based in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán. We have been the exclusive supplier of the splined coupling assemblies used by John Deere in the manufacture of its combines at the Thibodaux (United States) and Catalao (Brazil) plants.

I joined the company in 2010 and I focused in: design, build, develop and implement a safety/risk control program in the company s production facility. Designed and implemented an annual safety training program for the plant employees. Our program is near miss or incident based, we believe that if we analyze and solve incidents then we prevent accidents happening.

The work includes: provide technical advice, develop plans, and execute on environmental, health and safety issues. Be a close liaison with local regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements. Support, teach and train operations team to focus on EHS program development, implementation and improvement. Conduct EHS training courses for assigned areas. Lead Injury and illness tracking and case management. Develop and implement corrective-action/continuous improvement plans. Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks, analyze trends and performance. Support assigned areas by conducting injury/accident/incident investigations, and follow-up on safety concerns. Track progress against EHS goals. Act as a member of the emergency Response team.
