PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
A Peace Psychologist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Armed Conflict and Peace as well as Psychology. I have been privileged to accumulate 2 years of experience during the course of my undergraduate and even after. I also have a diploma from the same University in Social Work and Social Development.
I have amassed a wealth of experience when it comes to peace negotiations, mediation between conflicting ethnic communities here in Kenya. I am seeking for a role that allows me to continue learning & expanding my skills especially in human interest areas such as human rights; vulnerable persons (children, women, refugees); peace building and reconciliation, making a negotiated peace between the warring parties, community development & empowerment, just to mention a few.

CAREER SUMMARY
Internship: National Cohesion and Integration Cohesion (NCIC), February 2020 – Currently.
The key duties and responsibilities that I was undertaking include;
Promote arbitration, conciliation, mediation and similar forms of conflict resolution mechanisms
I have been part of the Peace and Reconciliation at the commission. i.e. In the presence of the Commissioners, County government officials and the Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT), I was part of the team that mediate the tribal conflict between the Massai and Samburu in Laikipia among others
Plan trips, write minutes in meetings, do memos, come up with the programme and the write reports
I Supervise, co-ordinate and promote educational and training programs to create public awareness, support and advancement of peace and harmony among ethnic communities and racial groups
Part of the team that does research and studies and make recommendations to the Government on any issue relating to ethnic affairs including whether ethnic relations are improving.
Volunteer: National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF), 2019- January 2020
The key duties and responsibilities include;
Research proposal development for studies
Statistical analysis using SPSS analysis software as well as in Excel

I assisted with the organization of various programs aimed at educating the public about child safety issues. I also assisted with the handling of court cases of the children as well as their medical care
I was initially looking for something to keep me busy and ended up learning a lot and actively applying my studies in real life while learning some basic skills like how to send proper work emails and reports
Help with the day-to-day caregiving to the little children and discovered numerous challenges that such children face as far as their holistic upbringing goes
