Responsibilities & Achievements

MTN Project BOOST – Back Office Operational Optimization Standardization and Transformation –MTN Group project to migrate on premise back-office ERPnapplications to Oracle Cloud ERP). The Lead Architect and member of MTN Nigeria Project BOOST IT Delivery team, My summary roles and achievement are:

Analysing and developing the business and technical Impact Analysis of replacing the current on premise ERP with Oracle Cloud ERP.

Analysed and documented the AS-IS business architecture, application landscape, application functions and related use cases to determine what would be migrated to Oracle Cloud ERP and what would remain on premise.

Developing the MTN Nigeria target BOOST ERP architecture landscape, detailed in the Conceptual Technology Model, Logical Technology Model, Integration Architecture, Physical technology Model, Application Functions.

Responsible for the planning and definition of the BOOST integration (SOA) infrastructure build specification VMs – CPU and Memory, including network settings, application traffic management (load balancing) specifications, security configurations, grants and rules definition, database and everything related.

Provide information about connectivity between MTN Nigeria SOA infrastructure and Oracle Cloud (PaaS, SaaS) environment, and also define basic security architecture guided by policies that should be employed in the implementation.

Defined the Integration Strategy for MTN Nigeria Project BOOST deployment. What resources will be used during the integration, such as API Gateway, OSB, OMFT, and how to connect to on premise and third party applications?

Responsible for end-2-end Solution Architecture documentation, BOOST Architecture Impact Analysis (AIA), and implementation guidance or manual for project BOOST.

Coordinate resolution of technical infrastructure related issues, ranging from connectivity, access, directory and permission, security, Load balancing issues and all technical infrastructure blockers to project progress.

Led several cut-over planning session to define detailed (pre-cutover, cut-over and post cut-over activities)

MTN Nigeria SOA Development and Integration Services - I oversee Oracle middleware service development and integration activities on Oracle Fusion Middleware for MTN Nigeria. My summary roles and achievement are:

Developed a flexible and robust technical architecture of the Oracle Fusion Middleware 12C and coordinated the build for the implementation, currently supporting 170 active web services, 300 use cases and daily transactions of about 9 million.

Analysis and approval APIs for development, review of HLD & LLD Low Level design as part of design assurance on integration services on the OFMW

Coordinated the build and the deployment of the OFMW Disaster Recovery Site instances for MTN Nigeria

Management of MTN Nigeria SOA planning and development team – Service design, API design, Design assurance functions on service APIs, Middleware infrastructure, and day-to-day change management on the middleware.

Management of technical infrastructure requirements, support, and OFMW infrastructure service deployment to Production OFMW and seamless handover to Production Support Team.

Conduct negotiation with the integrator based on work effort and other criteria for code change to ensure reduced CAPEX and OPEX

Guide the organisation to make the correct technology decisions, by promoting reuse of existing services; sustainability and scalability to achieve value for money

MTN Nigeria Private Cloud Deployment Program.– Program that resulted in the deployment of the DELL EMC Hyper-Converged Infrastructure and Oracle Exadata Database Machine in our primary and secondary Data Centres. My summary roles and achievement are:

Providing insight to constraints due to application and deployment architecture of legacy applications, due to the architecture impact analysis carried of deploying legacy applications on the new platforms. The positives were the re-architecture and upgrade of some of the legacy applications to maximize the benefits of the HCI and the Exadata.

Participated in several planning and design sessions prior to deployment of these platforms.

Training and workshops on the HCI and Exadata technologies

Coordinated several failover tests of applications and databases on the deployed platforms

Customer Experience Management Project – As the SPOC for MTN Nigeria IT on the Customer Experience Management Project. Analysed data, IT KQI, KPIs and dimensions, defined the formula for CEX.

Analysed the IT KQIs, corresponding KPIs and dimensions for CEX, identified source systems, provide sample data, analysed operational data at each application touchpoints.

Reviewed and defined Customer Experience Measurements matrix tailored to our 12 KQI and 50 KPI

Designed technical integration architecture of the Nokia CEM Tool to MTN Nigeria BSS for capturing KPIs.
