A variety of courses such as, Intro to Jurisprudence, Legal and Scholarly Report Writing, and Criminal Procedure, have taught me a plethora of skills from understanding basic court procedures, to properly preparing and analyzing different court documents. Furthermore, I have been able to experience both civil and criminal court hearings and procedures firsthand. As a result, I became familiar with various court hearings and what they involve. Upon graduation, I was presented with the opportunity of securing a position with a personal injury firm. My daily duties include, but are not limited to, opening claims, maintaining organized files for each client, scheduling appointments, and cooperating with attorneys on a consistent basis to ensure efficiency throughout the firm. I always go above and beyond for my clients and work diligently to ensure they receive the absolute best. Therefore, I am confident that I will be an outstanding asset to this firm.

While studying full-time at Florida A&M, I was able to simultaneously accumulate five years of work experience, specifically in retail and customer service. Working with numerous customers on a day-to-day basis, has led me to develop and perfect basic clerical duties, such as: maintaining calendars, operating a multi-line phone system, and filing paperwork. Although these encounters involve retail items, all the skills and lessons I took away, can be applied to my future job with this company. While working at Metro PCS, for example, I had to cater to every customer’s needs, which taught me patience; possessing this skill is essential with any job. Additionally, working with a personal injury firm has expanded my knowledge of the legal field and what it entails.
