Working as part of a team and responsible for work assignments/rotations,

staff training and overtime assignment.

Duties:

Directs and oversees all activities related to the efficient and effective production process to ensure that all work performed are executed adherence with the set plans, schedules, priorities, and customer specifications.

Maximizes manpower and equipment utilization through proper scheduling, and ensures the efficient and proper use of materials to prevent wastage by constantly monitoring withdrawals and issuances of such.

Submits on a regular basis performance reports covering all activities/ accomplishments done during the specific time frame.

Recommends to the Production Manager work methods or techniques that will increase efficiency, improve level of effectiveness and workmanship and reduce cost. Compliments the company’s cost reduction programs without sacrificing quality.

Oversees the safety and security of new equipment, facilities and materials at all times in our work area. Ensures that only authorized personnel are allowed inside the production line.

Coordinates closely with support groups on various activities and planned actions on problems relating to production schedule, material availability, quality level, engineering standards, production equipment, etc. Also sees to it that all potential problems are dealt with at an early stage and are escalated to superiors on time. Ensures all communications are done internally.

Ensures smooth and consistent implementation of company specifications and statistical process control, just in time, and other line improvement interventions that the company may decide to implement through proper communication to subordinates and consistent tracking of compliance to such.

Ensures adherence to customer standards and recommends actions like stopping production and hold shipment if necessary to contain and correct quality problems. Informs superiors on any non-adherence to customer standards.

Conducts regular meetings with subordinates to discuss line performance and other important company matters and at the same time allow them to surface issues that affect them; enforces line discipline, conducts counseling as needed and coordinates closely with employees' council activities and assures the council of full support.

Ensures work progress by monitoring/controlling personnel activities through performance measurement and evaluation, enforcement of discipline, personnel counseling and development. Accomplishes the appraisal form and discusses to subordinates their monthly performance.

Monitors subordinates’/section's performance and institutes the necessary actions to maintain and upgrade performance.

Supports & implements Environmental Management System with respect to the job.
