Objective I am an enthusiastic, motivated nursing professional, who completed a Family Nurse Practitioner with a master’s degree in Nursing from University of Southern Indiana (GPA 3.8). Skills & Qualifications
Document patients’ medical histories and assessment findings
Document patients’ treatment plans, intervention, outcomes, and plan revisions
Collaborates with respiratory therapy, speech, OT, and case management regarding patient care.
Provide appropriate discharge teaching to parents.
Evaluate patients’ vital signs and laboratory data to determine emergency intervention as needed
Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identified needs.
Collect specimens for laboratory test by heel stick and central stick
Monitor patients for changes in status and indications of conditions such as sepsis or shock and institute appropriate interventions
Set up and monitor medical equipment and devices such as cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators and alarms, and transducers, and assists with EEG set up
Administer medications intravenously, by injection, orally through gastric tubes or by other methods
Conduct pulmonary assessment to identify abnormal respiratory patterns or breathing sounds that indicate problems
Administer blood and blood products, monitoring patients for signs and symptoms related to transfusion reactions
Report back to medical control during neonatal transports
