Talent Researcher (Furloughed twice)

As a Talent Researcher I don’t just source-recruit for a variety of engineering roles, I reach out to the engineering community and build long lasting connections. I also conduct market research into targeted locations to develop data landscapes of engineering talent among normal recruitment based activities. I pride myself on my ability to think outside the box and generate different and intriguing connections and reach-outs which let me find, and hire, those hard to reach top tier candidates. I’m not another LinkedIn mouse clicker. I’ve hosted Discord Happy Hours and trivia nights for potential candidates, thrown and Co-Hosted Rocket League tournaments with prospective talent, attended engineer only networking events that get me invited to private engineering discord channels, and more. Lets chat.

My responsibilities at Logic20/20 included:

Generated new and original reach-outs that increased our teams response rate by 32% in a 3 month period.

Employment branding, LinkedIn Branding.

Marketing and evangelizing online and at events.

Events planning, coordination, setup, breakdown, and participation.

Sourcing and connecting with engineering talent and communities, scheduling interviews.

Fielding inbound candidate applications and offering rejections and recycles when needed.

Conducting thorough initial resume screening of candidates to evaluate candidate skill set and fit and advancing only qualified candidates, but building an inventory of ‘not quite a fit, but might be placeable in the future’ candidates for later reach-out.

Evaluating and making recommendations for requisition fit to candidates and seniors.

Generating relationships with engineering communities, by attending out-group events and meet-ups.

Resource assessment, mapping, and tactical recommendations to immediate leadership.

Team knowledge transfer and growth.

Out of 288 scheduled interviews here, 82 of them passed their next level interview (my target), or were hired. Numbers effected by 2 month furlough, and return.

(Metrics: In this role I was responsible for generating approximately 20-40 phone interviews per month with 288

phone interviews scheduled, despite a 2 month furloughed absence. ATS used:JobVite.)

Source/Recruiter (Events recruitment for senior engineers)

(Req load: 32 onsite interviews per event. Per 2.5-3 months.)

(Metrics: In this role I was responsible for generating 6-10 offers per event, targeting 6 accepts. To support each event I field typically 300+ active candidates out of a personally generated pool of up to 8000 engineers. ATS used: HIRE, ICIMS, ART.HireTual)

Microsoft – Bellevue, WA (Contract) 02/2018 –06/2018

Source Recruiter (Chief, Principal, and Architect level engineers)

(Req Load: Established relationships with Principal/Chief/Architect level engineers. No assigned Reqs)

(Metrics: In this role I was responsible for only 2 hires per year, due to leveling of targeted candidates. ATS used: ICIMS.)

Huawei – Bellevue, WA (Contract) 06/2017 – 02/2018

R&D Source Recruiter (Senior, Chief, Principal, and Architect level engineers)

(Req load: 5-8, Career Fair booth Mgmt. since we targeted PhD graduates, as well.)

Amazon (AWS) – Seattle, WA (Contract) 09/2016 to 04/2017

Source Recruiter (Senior engineers)

(Req load: 50-68, Hires: 3-4 per month. Hiring event (blitz) sourcing and Mgmt.)

(Metrics: In this role I was responsible for generating 3-4 offers per month. ATS used HIRE, ICIMS, ART, MRT.)

TCS World Travel – Seattle, WA (Contract) 02/2016 to 06/2016

In-house Recruiter (Full Desk sourcing of variety of roles)

(Req load: 18 pre-specified roles, Hires: 18)

(Metrics: In this role I was responsible for generating 15+ hires of needs of company expansion, of assorted role types, ranging from accountant to vice president. ATS used: SmartRecruiter.)

(Req load: 12-24, Hires: 3-4 per month.)

(Metrics: In this role I was responsible for placing 3-4 candidates per month with assorted clients, sourced from 10 new candidates per week. ATS used: MicroJ.)

(Req Load: Conducted Interviews: 8 per day, and made advancement decision at a 90% placement rate)
