VIP Project-Active Safety for Autonomous Vehicles Spring 2020, Fall 2020 Professor led research and team-based design of a 1/10th model self-driving racecar, the active safety sensors, and the safety components of the programming algorithms within autonomous vehicles.

• Built racecar hardware for multiple test vehicles, including lidar and sonar sensors, motors, microcontrollers, and on- board power. Installed software for successful teleoperation and GAZEBO simulation of racecar using linux and ROS.

• Compiled an instruction manual detailing the necessary steps to install software on the racecars for future students.
