Research Experience

“Understanding Osteoarthritis Using Gene Targeting Mouse Model” - Worked at the University of Hartford using a transgenic mouse model to examine the relationship between genetics and osteoarthritis. The transgenic mouse genetic lines had to be maintained and bred for specific genotypes.

“The Effects of Lead treatment on Nerve Growth Factor Regulated Dorsal Root Ganglion Neurodevelopment” – Performed lab work such as micro dissections, culture medium preparation, medium changes, and ex vivo tissue culturing. Led a team of student peers while also working closely with the principal investigator. Examined cell death using stains.
