Internship Year:

1. Internal medicine- 3 months duration- Department of Internal Medicine-Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs-Riyadh. Duties:

Admissions

Emergency room evalatuion of medical emergencies.

Patient follow up and medical care during inpatient stay.

Discharge plan.

12 hour on call shifts.

2. Surgery- 3 months duration- King Saud Medical City-Riyadh a) General Surgery- 1 month duration

b) Neurosurgery -1 month duration

c) Bariatric Surgery- 1 month duration

Duties:

Admissions

Emergency room evalatuion of surgical emergencies.

Preoperative and Postoperative care and follow up.

Intraoperative assistance.

Discharge Plan and Outpatient follow up.

24 hours on call shifts.

3. Obstetrics and Gynecology- 3 months duration- Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology- King Saud Medical City- Riyadh Duties:

Admissions

Emergency room evaluation of labor, obstetrical emergencies and emergency cesarian sections.

Assistance during vaginal delivery and Elective Cesarian sections.

Inpatient follow up and medical care.

Assistance during various elective obstetrical and gynecological operations.

Discharge plan and Outpatient follow up.

Chief Intern: Arranging on call Rota and supervision, group distributions.

12 hours on call shifts.

4. Pediatrics- 3 months duration- General pediatric Department- King Saud Medical City- Riyadh

Duties:

Admissions

Emergency room evaluation of pediatric emergencies.

Inpatient follow up and medical care.

Discharge plan and Outpatient follow up.

24 hours on call shifts.
