Profile

I’m an IT professional looking to expand my knowledge in my field as well as helping

others. I value the importance of team work and sharing knowledge with the entire team. I would like to continue taking the next steps in my development as an Associate Director as well as expanding my technical knowledge. I have a total of 23 years experience being a Mainframe Programmer (Lead Programmer), Distributed Developer (Software Engineer Lead) as was as a Department IT Manager. I’m a very loyal and self motivated individual and I enjoy giving back to my community.

My experience is a diverse background in Quality, Continuous Improvement, Production and Product Management. Currently, I’m managing two teams: Digital Document System, an IT Data Storage Platform and Production Support Department, an IT Platform will multiple Applications. Both departments were being managed by two separate managers which the company combined into one department that I was responsible for. Both the Digital Document System and Production Support Departments had their resources cut by two thirds, so I had to think out of the box and figure out how to get more out of less. A major asset I believe I bring is making decisions, strategic and tactical that are in the best interests of the company, working well with team members, keeping the big picture in focus and always striving to be the best. I focus on critical functions such as eliminating single points of failure, identifying critical needs that are not in place and moving forward with more opportunity for our department as well as my team members.

You will note from the enclosed resume that I have a strong business background with a history of code development, leading and many quality disciplines. My diverse history allows me the experience to walk in and hit the ground running. I strive to improve processes and quality by keeping the customer at the forefront of all activities. This experience has helped me become a successful developer/ manager by focusing hard on the processes and the ability to work with other team members. In my current position, and in past positions, the environment was to accept change through operational excellence and lean development. I persevered through these challenges by leading with excellent results. Experience

Associate Director

I’m currently leading the Digital Documentation System and the Production Support Teams. I’m responsible for the daily monitoring and completion of projects, issues, tickets, and tasks for both teams. I was the Point of Contact for each department so I was intimate with all changes taking place for these two departments. Home - 706-***-****

CARL W. MAYNE JR.

• I was closely involved with each team members Development. I’ve been involved with the direction of Digital Document System and Production Support Departments from the beginning. My departments were totally different and separate from each other, so I had to change my thinking to communicate with both sides because the language was different, meaning there were different systems and terms.

• I helped coordinate Production Support team with a transition where we Sun Set several GUI interfaces and APIs. I was also responsible for coming up with a plan to make a transition from our Production Support team to India resources which was completed and executed on time with fantastic results. I was also task on driving that change and monitoring those changes and giving weekly and monthly reports to my superiors on where we stood with this transition.

• With the Digital Document System team I inherited a team that was down sizing to a 3rd of the size while also separating the teams into three districted teams

(Setup Team, Flex Team and Application Team). I had to communicate with my team members about this change and transition and explain why the decision was made to make the change. This took a lot of time and effort to convince of the need to make these drastic change. We did so with a lot of positive results, namely running the department with lest cost and running more efficiently. I’ve been on my current job for 20 months.
