RESEARCH TOPIC DURING M. Sc (Hort.): Effect of Organic and Inorganic sources of Nitrogen on Growth, Yield and Quality and Pre-Harvest Sprays of Growth Regulators and Chemicals on Storage Life of Garlic (Allium sativum L.)

OBJECTIVES OF THE THESIS:

1.To study the effect of organic and inorganic sources of nitrogen on growth, yield and quality of garlic.

2.To study the effect of growth regulators and chemicals on storage life of garlic.

RESEARCH TOPIC DURING Ph.D (Hort.): Effect of nutrient management on growth, yield and quality and pre-harvest spray of chemicals on storage life of onion (Allium cepa L.).

OBJECTIVES OF THE THESIS:

1.To assess the benefits of soil test based nutrient management on onion crop yield and quality.

2.To assess the growth and yield response of onion to higher graded levels, sources and time of application of potassium.

3.To assess the effect of potassium on quality and storage life of onion.

4.Economic analysis of different sources, levels and time of application of potassium.

5.To study the effect of pre-harvest foliar applications of chemicals on storage life and quality of onion.
