Internship - GAIL (India) Delhi, India
Mentor: Er. Uma Shankar May 2017 – Jun 2017
Reported a study on ‘Types of Pipeline Corrosion and Preventive Systems Involved in GAIL (India) Limited’ The report mainly focuses on the corrosion issues due to presence of water in gas, temperature, bending angle and other factors. The prevention parts generally deals with pigging for detection and removal of corroded materials in the pipeline. Course Work

Projects
• M. Tech Project (IIT Madras) – Microwave Pyrolysis of Plastics to Produce Diesel grade fuel
(Completed by May 2020)
Mentor - Dr. R. Vinu, Mail - adjb13@r.postjobfree.com
Performed fast microwave pyrolysis at atmospheric pressures and optimize product generation based on feed and reaction conditions with and without catalyst to bring down reaction time and to enhance the selectivity of products in C8 to C14 range so that the oil can be used as diesel as a whole or can be blended with commercial diesel
• B. Tech Project – Adsorption of Chromium (VI) ions using Coconut Husk Mentor - Dr. Tapas Palai, Mail - adjb13@r.postjobfree.com
In a group of three conducted experiments on adsorption of micro molar concentration of Potassium Dichromate on unmodified and HCl/NaOH modified Coconut Husk to check its feasibility to be used as a cheaper alternative for the removal of Chromium (VI) from water bodies.
