•Fast paced telemetry transitional care unit with specific patient population (vascular, thoracic) and varied medical patients. Nursing patient population of 28, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4.

•Provided care and teaching on pre and post op management for patients undergoing the following surgeries; VATs, AAA repairs, femoral-popliteal bypasses, esophagectomies, hip replacements, amputations. Other conditions and treatments managed include but are not limited to: CHF, DM, stroke, wounds with drains and vacuum-assisted closure devices, renal failure, PNA, bariatric patients with multiple system conditions and surgeries, MI, a-fib, cardiac monitoring; basic dysrhythmia interpretation.
