LISP Routines For Cable Diagram Making November 2019 – July 2020 VARD Electro Project

Project to develop LISP routine code which automates the input of information from the attributes of an equipment block to the attributes of a cable block on AutoCAD

• Used reference code from online resources as a starting point

• Edited the code to fit the requirements of a VSY standard cable diagram

• The routine saves time when making cable diagrams because it removes the need to copy and paste information from block to block and does the same task with minimal action IO List Creator Macro Feb – March 2019

Seaspan VBA Project

Project to develop code which outputs a VSY standard IO List with an input of a bill of materials or BoM from the Seaspan database

• Developed dynamic code which searches for cells by a unique identifier and column name, rather than by arbitrary row and column locations

• Created a searching interface to identify parts from the BoM which has “and” as well as “or” search functions

• Researched and interpreted VFI of instrumentation parts to create a reference spreadsheet which fills in data for the IO List based on the part it is identified as

• The macro saves time in creating IO lists that can have up to thousands of signals. These IO lists would have otherwise had to be created one-by-one manually
