Technical Skills
Network Computer Systems:
Information security risk analysis, management, and vulnerability assessment. 18+ years of hands on experience evaluating Information Assurance (IA) procedures and best practices. Developed and implemented risk avoidance and mitigation procedures for the USN while on active duty and as a DOD contractor. Responsibilities’ included evaluation of new and existing systems, system monitoring, system integration planning, and physical security across unclassified, confidential, secret, top secret, top secret special access and NATO computer networks. Collateral responsibilities included up echelon reporting, end user training, and unit level compliance and remediation inspections.

RF/Wireless:

This effort resulted in an EMI/RFI monitoring capability for site personnel and source isolation of EMI (rusty bolt effect) for local interference problems.

Expert knowledge of co-channel and adjacent channel Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) analysis and resolution.
International Radio Frequency manager since 1993. Provided direct support to all US Navy and Marine Corps commands for RF requirements on the island of Honshu and Okinawa Japan respectively. Electronics:

Leader of 28 junior technicians (male/female) while active duty in the US NAVY. Leadership function included performance evaluations and counseling. Yellow Dog Networks Inc. 12/18 – 03/19, provided on site assistance to the Sales Department in Des Moines (all Iowa) and Nebraska. Function as the point of contact for all technical questions and discussions.
ICS Advanced Technology 01/16 – 04/18, programmed and installed Mikrotik router and switching systems to include CISCO routers, switches, Ubiquity radio systems, IgniteNet radio systems and Ruckus WIFI systems. Played an instrumental role in designing and planning system installations, upgrades, and IPV4 to IPV6 migration for an MDU ISP.

First responder for any and all C4ISR outages on two Ticonderoga class guided missile cruisers, seven Arliegh Burke class destroyers, one Nimitz class aircraft carrier and one Kitty Hawk class Aircraft Carrier. My reporting senior was Commander Task force Seven Zero, Two star Rear Admiral. I was responsible for the Entire Strike group C5ISR material condition of readiness.
Computer Science Corporation 08/05 – 07/08, Site Technical Lead/Senior Network Engineer. Responsible for the daily operation of an enterprise Local Area Network (LAN). Provided technical oversight for an enterprise wide LAN upgrade involving the USN and Dell.
