TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN
It gives me immense pleasure in certifying a letter of recommendation regarding the potentials and talents of Dr. K. SAKTHIKUMAR whom I know for the past 10 years. He had a consistently brilliant record after passing M.Phil
(Chemistry) from the American College Affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. He has been successfully completed Ph.D (Chemistry) in Anna University Chennai affiliated Chemistry Research Centre, Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai, Ramanathapuram under my guidance with research project entitled
“Synthesis, structural elucidation and biological studies of transition metal complexes of Schiff base”. During the periods of 2012-2018, I had been worked as Associate Professor and head of the department of chemistry in the same college and have also been observing his performance since then, who is an excellent and dedicated research scholar with determination and very much satisfactory. Even since he joined as a research scholar in our chemistry research centre, he was being engaged always in research work in our chemistry laboratory during his holidays as well. He is more interested in pursuit of knowledge and quick in assimilating new concepts and he is very efficient in accomplishing the task assigned to him and a team player. I found his extraordinary research capability, meticulous planning and timely execution. In addition, He has good understanding of the fundamentals of synthetic organic and bio-inorganic chemistry and is capable of carrying out independent experiments towards synthesis of novel organic compounds / ligands and their metal complexes. He has also made highly commendable work especially in structural and biomolecular (DNA / Protein interaction) characterization of the transition metal complexes for the development of potential anti-cancer drugs. During his research periods, he acquired in-depth knowledge in handling and interpretation of instruments such a UV-Vis, FT-IR, TGA / DSC, EPR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, ESI-Mass, Fluorescence spectra, Viscometry, Cyclic voltammetry and gel electrophoresis. He has published a number of research articles in well reputed journals and presented several papers in conferences during his research career. His approach towards research project is exemplary and he has original, independent and careful execution of ideas. After successfully completion of his research work with satisfactory, he has been awarded Ph.D
