It was held on Sep 2015 at university of gezira wad medani sudan by a team from Martin Luther university Halle-wittenberg (Germany), Addis ababa university (Ethiopia).

It was a certified course about how to maintain the airway safe during operation and also during emergency condition, also it contain the idea cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and intera arterial cannula (invasive blood pressure monitoring) central line technique, epidural anaethesia and nerve stimulator and block.

Duties and Responsibilities :-

Pre-operative period:

•Consult Operating Room schedule to determine supply and

equipment needs for procedures.

• Prepare anesthetizing locations for indicated procedure.

• Pre-test and calibrate anesthesia delivery systems,

monitor and obtain interpret information from the systems and monitors.

• Troubleshoot anesthesia equipment functions, routing

non-functional equipment to the proper department for repair.

• Intra-Venous cannulation.

• Assist the supervising anesthesiologist in difficult

intubation and Airway management including, mask ventilation, LMA insertion and Endo-Tracheal Intubation.

Intra-operative management:

• Administration and maintenance of anesthetic

agents, narcotics, hypnotics, and muscle relaxants.

• Administration and maintenance of volatile

anesthetics.

• Administration of blood products and fluid therapy.

• Patient monitoring.

• Intraoperative charting.

• Drawing venous and arterial blood samples for investigation.

• Administration of vasoactive substances for treatment of

unacceptable patient hemodynamic status.

• Extubation and mobilizing the critically ill patients to ICU.

Post-operative management:

• Postoperative management of patients critically ill and with

ventilator support.

• Basic life support that qualifies the individual to administer

cardiopulmonary resuscitation to patients in need.

• Advanced cardiac life support that qualifies the individual to

participate in the pharmacologic intervention and management

resuscitation efforts for a patient in full cardiac arrest.
