AS a FREELANCER (2012-2019)

Worked as a freelance copy writer, content developer, story writer, translator for several agencies, individuals for the last 4 years including UTV, NGC, Discovery, Big FM as my end clients.

Important Assignments Undertaken

●Wrote Stories for Content Project for the famous show YKIB (Yaadon ka Idiot Box with Nilesh Misra) that broadcasts on BIG FM 92.7

●Trans-creation of Movies, TV scripts for Wildlife, Cookery, Travel and Animation Shows

●Worked with Company Cue, a US based firm for its Fortune 100 technology company as a senior linguist and editor

●Worked with Translated, a Rome based company as a senior linguist and reviser for Airbnb

Full time positions:

●Working with RWS Moravia as a Hindi Linguist and Quality Evaluator since September 2019 for Facebook’s online and offline project

●Worked with Times Now as Principal Correspondent (earlier Senior Copy Editor) since November 2015 to December 2019

Roles and responsibilities: Translation, Voice Over in English and Hindi, Supervising a team of 5 translators

●Worked with Zee Media Corp as a Copy Editor for 2 years since January 2014 to Nov 2015

-One of the core members of the launching team for India’s 1st hyperlocal news platform i.e. iamin.in

-work across the platforms for Zee and handle Hindi as well as English content for iamin.in, india.com and dna online

I left the job after I was offered to be a core member of the first of its kind news podcast of TIMES NOW.

●Worked with india.com (JV Zee network and Mail.com) as a Senior Content Writer, since June 2011 to October 2011

-A startup at that point was initiated in multiple regional languages, which was shut down after a few months leaving me unemployed.

●Worked with Tehelka Hindi magazine as a Sub-Editor and Feature Writer from July 2010 to June 2011

-Page design & lay-outs, Headlines, Intro, Copy Editing, Co-ordination

-Left Tehelka because I had to relocate to Mumbai after my family moved here.

●Worked with Global News Network as a Copy Editor and Special Correspondent from January 2009 to June 2010

-Played a key-role in launching the Hindi Magazine ‘Last Sunday’. I was responsible for its all 66 pages. Getting the pages designed, Copy-editing, Re-writing, proof etc.

-Had to leave as the organization was under scanner for running magazines without proper registration and the operations were seized

●Worked as a Copy Editor with the monthly newspaper YUVA UDAAN from December 2006 to April 2008

-Played a key-role in Re-launching this Hindi Tabloid. Copy-editing, Re-writing, proof, discussing the story-ideas, co-ordination with reports etc.

-A start up by college students which I was a part of. Once our batch finished its degree, we handed over the responsibility of running the tabloid to new students.
