Product Development & Sampling

• Meeting Buyers/Clients in Mumbai, Delhi and Tirupur for new proposals

• Direct correspondence with buyer’s through email / Telephone.

• Co-ordinate, sample from suppliers and in-house development as per the buyer’s specifications.

• Ensuring all proto samples, salesman samples, approval, etc matches buyer’s requirement.

• Reviewing new development samples and give comments to factories for changes to be made before forwarding to buyer.

• Keep strict supervision with factories for calculating consumption and maintain competitive costings.

• Planning for factory Audits for Primark and Arcadia group.

• Follow up with Assistant Merchandisers, Q.C’s and Vendors on weekly production status reports and samplings.

• Co-ordinating with fabric dept. from sampling approvals on strike offs, labdips to finished fabrics for production.

• Manage the complete product development cycle inclusive of accessing client requirements, sample development & approval, final production & delivery of orders.

• Daily Production follow-ups with QA team as well as packing department.

• Function as an interface between the Buyer and Vendors to ensure that the production schedule is met and facilitate on time seamless delivery.

• Updating ERP system on day to day basis so that every approval is on track and highlighting critical issues if any.

Production planning & control

• Identify and develop a reliable Vendor base across India.

• Communicate product specifications, negotiating with Vendors & assessed their performance based on criteria like prices, quality improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms etc.

• Follow up on Production status at Vendor locations; supervising processes, identifying deviations and implementing corrective action.

• Monitor quality control of finished products with QA Team before dispatch to ensure minimum to nil faults. 2

Out sourcing

• Develop and source vendor base for various products (t-shirts, shirts, ladies dresses, tops, jackets, denims, industrial safety wear etc.)

• Delivering quality products within stipulated time limit. Price negotiation with vendors and buyers.
