Description: The effect and optimization of machining parameters (cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut) on surface roughness is investigated. Experiments are done on STALLION-100 HS CNC lathe. It is also concluded that feed rate is the most significant factor affecting surface roughness followed by depth of cut.

Description: Investigation of time and movement of Gantry usage in Engine head machining line. The objective of this project is to examine the waste in terms of time and motion of Gantry automation system in Engine head machining line and also study of communication or interaction units for Gantry robotization framework. Different interaction units like Infeed Conveyor, HMC, Valve Seat Pressing Operation, SPC workstation, Intermediate washing,Cross Transfer conveyor and a buffer unit have been studied to which the Gantry automation facilitates automatic loading and unloading of engine head.
